Thetans Unite
After listening to a couple of the recent speeches by President Bush – in which he continued to use pretexts to support his war policy that have been proven over and over to be untrue – I couldn’t help but think of Tom Cruise, a once-great actor who has been driven to lunacy by his indoctrination into the cult of Scientology.
Tom Cruise is no more likely to be convinced that there is no foundation in reality for his beliefs in Scientology than are Bush, and about 29 percent of the country that still believe in the fantasies that surround the Iraqi war. People this indoctrinated aren’t really worth arguing with.
Then it dawned on me – Bush and his lunatic fringe have in reality co-opted the beliefs of Scientology to enable them to cope with the rest of the world that is so totally in opposition to their actions.
Some of the basic beliefs of Scientology are:
Scientologists believe that after death, rebirths continue until one consciously confronts all pre-birth, current-life, and previous-life traumas and realizes one’s true nature as a “thetan,” immortal spirit – transcending matter, energy, space, and time. Achieving this state enables the spirit to escape the cycle of birth and death – to operate independently of the physical universe and become one with God.
So suck it up George, L. Ron Hubbard says you will get there some day.

Most excellent! The only problem with the last Hubbard point is that, well, GW thinks he IS God, and we know he’s already operating independently of the physical universe.
